Well I received it weeks ago, but I just Photographed it, It's fantastic, very quiet, stable and solid feeling. It's very well put together and aside from 1 thing It's brilliant.

That 1 thing is, the blue light, the blue light is cool and only shows when in the on/standby position. But for some reason Philips decided a blue light on It's own wasn't cool enough, so the 3 buttons bellow the dial blink repeatedly at the same time which is very annoying and unnecessary! wasting what could have been a perfectly nice blue ambience. So it stays in the off position as to not induce epilepsy.

Some small bits of food do get stuck at the bottom, even swilling won't get it out most of the time but putting some water in it and blending usually dislodges it, that is quite annoying.

I've wasted far too much time writing an automated Folder icon maker, it should have only taken arund 10 minutes, but well many issues with really badly documented and designed software (ImageMagick) plus some other hiccups

And to top it all off, It's not really very automated due to lack of tools to get Icons onto folders in a headless fashion.
But you can't sneeze at it if it pops out Icons like these

:-)

And It's Y3K Proof now!

I'm looking to buy a blender (upgrading from my current 500w Kenwood)

I'm not crazy about how this thing looks, It's niiiice and all but It's just weee-ord like some kind of sinister looking robot, that's had It's limbs removed against It's will, left futilely and angrily to grind on unfortunate bits of fruit and ice that stray into It's vicinity... or maybe I've had too much fruit lately.

I've only had my current blender (my first) for a short time but It's just so damn noisy and the selling point of this one (based on peer reviews) other than the higher watt is that It's allegedly quieter, which at 3x the price id hope is true!

Also it doesn't have a tap unlike my current one, taps are truly annoying in the sense of they MUST be cleaned and other awkwardness, never mind the fact they are useless with anything but juice.

Well I can say one thing for sure and that it doesn't look anything like any other blender I've seen, time will tell if that's a good thing or not!
